The wood print should not be coming off of the tile surface.
The Problem
We are starting to install wood look porcelain tile. After the first small section was installed and the grout lines cleaned and then grouted, when the cleaning of the grout was done, the “wood print” came off the tile along the grout lines on some of the tiles. is there a way to prevent this from continuing to happen?
The Solution
ANSWER - The wood print should not be coming off of the tile surface. I have seen this problem on another large tile panel using the ink jet technology to print the design on the tile. Glazed tile surfaces are suppose to be very durable and wear well. I would file a complaint with the tile manufacturer saying that your tile is defective if in fact the wood coating is coming off.
