Thin-setting tile

The Tile Installer Thin-set Standards (ITS) Verification course instructs installers, setters and helpers, on industry standards, practices, and proper installation methods for tile thin-set applications that apply to ceramic tile, porcelain tile, stone tile, glass tile and other types of adhered tile materials. This course is also meaningful to architects, general contractors, consultants, inspectors, and owners who want to be aware of industry installation standards, practices, and methods. Over many years, standards have been created by industry consensus committees sharing their experiences to help avoid problems and ensure successful tile and stone installations. Most installers learn on the job and, unfortunately, do not have the opportunity to learn the industry standards. If the installers do not know the standards, then how can they avoid potential problems? This course is designed to effectively and practically teach tile setters and helpersthe current industry standards.Click here for details.

Reporting

As required, CTaSC can provide evaluation reports or specifications in writing either as an informal summary or as a formal guideline or as a specification in a CSI Masterspec format.

bg_image

Marble quarry, Carrara, Italy

CTaSC can provide stone quarry quality control inspections globally to verify that the stone ordered for your project is being produced as specified and that the material is correct before it is shipped. When shipments arrive with incorrectly fabricated stone and are not acceptable, the cost to your project can sky-rocket.It is not practical to return containers of stone; and it will typically take 90 days or more to import new material. No matter whose fault it is, everyone pays in one way or another, in terms of added cost, delay of project, and relationships.
