Donato Pompo is the founder of Ceramic Tile and Stone Consultants, Inc. (CTaSC) and the University of Ceramic Tile and Stone (UofCTS). Vincent Moiso is a principal and President of Oceanside Glass & Tile. He has been in the tile and flooring industry for more than 25 years with an international background in distribution and manufacturing. Vincent started in the industry as a stone fabricator and installer. He has maintained a C54 California State Contractors license since 1998. Vincent is also the founder and president of his own consulting business, VIS Business Group LLC, focused primarily on small businesses in the flooring industry. VIS Business Group LLC recently purchased Ceramic Tile and Stone Consultants where Donato and Vincent will continue to collaborate on forensic tile investigation, industry marketing and research, and quality control management. Both Donato and Vincent sit on the committees for the  TCNA Handbook, ANSI A108, ASTM C18, and the Natural Stone Institute’s Technical committee. They are also members of the Natural Stone Institute (NSI), Ceramic Tile Distributors Association (CTDA), National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA), Tile Council of North America (TCNA), and the Terrazzo, Tile, & Marble Association of Canada. Donato and Vincent partner with the FUSE Alliance and can also be seen annually at the West Coast Casualty’s Construction Defect Seminar.

Combined, both Donato and Vincent have 50+ years of manufacturing and distribution sales experience in the tile and stone industry. Donato was a past CTDA Education committee chair, while Vincent was a past NSI Education committee chair. They both have participated with ANSI, ASTM, NTCA, and TCNA technical committees who develop the installation standards for the ceramic tile and stone industry. They published an on-line course in 2019, the Complete Guide on Developing Tile & Stone Specifications with Architects in partnership with University of Ceramic Tile and Stone which has also been presented as a live course at Coverings. The course is a culmination of both author’s experience, education, and knowledge of proven techniques to become a successful architectural sales representative in the tile and stone industry. Their combined industry experience has proven to be a valuable asset for CTaSC clients and UofCTS students alike.
