2022 is a wrap. And once again, we have the pleasure of looking back on the tile tips and trends we’ve covered over the last year.

As in years past, we’ve shared ideas on using tile in every room of the house. But one room stands out this year for being of particular interest to designers and homeowners alike: the bathroom.

When it comes to colors, 2022 presented hues ranging from soothing to striking, including:

These colors are representative of society’s continuing desire to reconnect with nature.

Pro tip: You don’t need to limit yourself to a single color for your new bathroom. Consider combining two or more of the trending colors, such as cozy earth tones accented by soft greens, or black tile with jewel tone accents.

Vintage Tile Bathroom Ideas

Backsplash tile can set the tone for your whole bathroom. And while it may feel like more of a design “extra” than a must-have compared to floor and shower tile, it actually pulls double duty protecting your wall from water damage and creating a hygienic, easy-to-clean surface.
