Is an enhancer a sealer?

QUESTION

Is an enhancer a sealer? - Do I need to seal the grout on my new ceramic tile floor if the installers used a Grout Enhancer?

ANSWER

ANSWER - If it is called a grout enhancer then it should be a sealer that enhances (darkens) the color of the grout.  So it should already be sealed.  The easiest way to determine if it is sealed is sprinkle water over the grout in a spot where there isn't much foot traffic; thus wear.  If the water beads up it has been sealed or the sealer is working.  If it doesn't bead up then either it had not been sealed or the sealer has wore off.
