Can Tile be installed in One Day? - We want a ceramic tile floor in our bathroom. Problem is we only have 1 bathroom, but 4 adults and a 3 year old. Is there anyway a floor can be laid and walked on in 1 day?

ANSWER - Yes, there is a way to install tile and within one day walk on it. There are rapid setting thin-set mortar adhesives for installing tile where the manufacturer allows you to grout within 2-4 hours if cured at 70 degrees F. There are grouts where the manufacturer will allow you to walk on the grouted floor after another 4 to 6 hours after the grout was cured at 70 degrees F. Although I would protect the new tile floor and grout with something like a rosin paper for a couple more days to avoid the grout from staining while it is curing.
