Q1 U.S. ceramic tile market update

U.S. ceramic tile consumption 1Q 2024 YTD was 624.5 million sq. ft., down 10.7% from 1Q 2023 YTD. 1Q 2024 YTD U.S. ceramic tile imports were at 427.8 million sq. ft., an 11.4% decline from 1Q 2023 YTD. Imports comprised 68.5% of 1Q 2024 YTD U.S. tile consumption by volume, down from 69.1% 1Q 2023 YTD. India was the largest exporter by volume to the U.S. with a 20.9% share of U.S. imports, followed by Spain (18.4%) and Mexico (17.0%).
