U.S. hard-surface imports of $395.2 million in April kept the good news rolling, with an increase of 13.3% from March and an 8% gain year-over-year.

Much of the month-to-month boost in values came again from quartz surfaces with its $132.2 million showing an 8.8% lift from March. The big one-month jump, however, came with Other Stone’s remarkable recovery of 90.9% to finish at $36.8 million

Quartz-surface imports continued upward in volume, with April’s 18.8 million ft² racking up a 24.2% increase from last year.
