Italian ceramic industry enjoys a record-breaking 2021
The Italian ceramic industry, consisting of a total of 263 companies with 26,537 employees and activities spanning tiles, sanitaryware, tableware, refractory materials and bricks, posted a record total turnover of €7.5 billion in 2021, up 21% on 2020 and 14.5% on 2019. Larger quantities of German clays to be shipped to Italy
According to a Memorandum of Understanding signed on 23 June in Munich between Confindustria Ceramica and BKRI (Bundesverband Keramische Rohstoffe und Industrieminerale, the German association of producers of raw materials for ceramics and industrial minerals), shipments of German clays for use by the Italian tile industry will be increased by 10% by the end of August and by up to 30% by the end of December. Tile of Spain shares Passport to Creativity trends
According to Nomdedeu, Spain continues to export its tiles to more than 180 countries around the world, with the USA accounting for 22.9 percent of its exports. Europe, Asia and the Middle East are the three next largest geographic areas. Spain also produced 567 million square meters of tile increasing production 20.3 percent from the previous year, making it the top EU producer, Nomdedeu said. Read More
