Update from CTDA’s Trade Attorney on Trade and Tariff Developments Regarding Indian Tile

September 27, 2024, from CTDA

Today, The International Trade Administration published an update to the tariff situation on Indian tile in the Federal Register. .

The significance of today’s Federal Register publication is that today becomes the date on which Customs is ordered to:

1) suspend liquidation of entries of the subject merchandise entered, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after this date;

2) require importers to post cash deposits equal to the estimated margins set forth in the notice; and

3) retroactively, suspend liquidation and require estimated CVD duty deposits for entries from all other exporters or manufacturers of the Indian tile (other than the two listed suppliers who have their own margins), that were entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption on or after the date which is 90 days before today’s date.
