Good News for U.S. Hard-Surface Imports in March

U.S. hard-surface imports of $364.2 million in March offered a double-dose of good news, with an increase of 8% from February and a 2.1% lift from March 2023.

Much of the month-to-month boost in values came from quartz surfaces (9.4%) and porcelain (11.2%), along with a surprising member of the Double-Digit Set: granite perked up by 14.2%

The positive numbers continued in shipment volumes, led by quartz surfaces’ 15% increase at 17.4 million ft².
