In December, ceramic imports declined in units and dollars, while LVT unit imports were down slightly in 2025 but more in dollars, reports Truist.
In December, ceramic units declined 17% year-over-year (YOY) with dollars down 13% YOY. Growth in Spain (31% YOY for units, 28% YOY for dollars) was more than offset by declines in India, Italy and Mexico, which all saw units and dollars decline double digits YOY. For the year units declined 4% with dollars down 3%, a modest impact overall from tariffs due to the diverse sourcing of this product.
In December LVT unit imports declined 41% YOY with dollars down 54% YOY. Mexico saw units decline 27% YOY with dollars down 41% YOY, and Indonesia saw units decline 47% with dollars down 54% YOY. Vietnam’s 20%-unit growth and 8%-dollar growth was not enough to offset the declines. For the year LVT saw units decline 2% with dollars down 16%.
